Books for All Saints Day

I've posted a lot of saint costumes lately, but not all of us have children who will be dressing up as saints for All Saints Day.  However,  I know that we all will be thinking of our friends in heaven on the upcoming feast day and perhaps wanting to read and share their stories, whether for the first time or the dozenth .

If you're looking for some new reading material on the saints, here is a list of a few compilations of saint stories for different ages, all for around $15 or under.  Enjoy!

For kids, a classic title is Fr. Lovasik's Picture Book of the Saints.  It's $8.95 at Family Christian Stores, and you can get free shipping to your local store.  Plus, get 25% off (good for any regularly priced item) with coupon code 128521398.

For teens, Ablaze: Stories of Daring Teen Saints is on sale for $8.33 on Amazon right now.

If you've never come across Modern Saints: Their Lives and Faces, it is worth it just for all the photographs of saints from the past hundred years.  It's a great reminder that saints are not just from long ago.  It's $15.49 on Amazon.

And especially for moms, Lisa Hendey's A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms: 52 Companions for Your Heart, Mind, Body, and Soul looks great.  It's $13.79 on Amazon right now.

  1. I highly recommend Lisa Hendey's book. I received it as a present last Christmas and I've been keeping up with my saints ever since! It is really thought-provoking, yet low maintenance.
