I just discovered that they carry a lot of Bethlehem Books for prices significantly lower than the list price and Amazon's prices.  If you don't know Bethlehem Books, they are a publisher of quality children's literature, including a lot of historical fiction and many older titles that had gone out of print that they have resurrected.

Here are some of the titles I found:

Saints & Heroes by Ethel Pochoki is priced at $10.99, versus the list price (and Amazon's price) of $15.95.

The Reb and the Red Coats by Constance Savery is $.9.49, versus $14.95 on the publisher's website.

The Kitchen Madonna by Rumer Godden (hardcover) is $10.99, down from a list price of $14.95.

They have a bunch more titles as well.  I searched for "Bethlehem Books" under "Fiction" to find them.

And this is not from the same publisher, but I also wanted to mention that The Chronicles of Narnia, Boxed Set Digest Tradepaper is marked down to $19.99 for the complete set of 7 books!

With the free shipping promotion and the discounted prices, you could get a number of great books for $35.  This could be a great way to stock your gift closet or to start your children's school year off right with some quality reading titles!

Classic Catholic Cookbook Available

Back in my Catholic Wedding Gift Guide, I recommended some Catholic cookbooks, including a classic title called Cooking for Christ.  This book was very influential in my mom's discovery of Catholic traditions to replicate in our home growing up.

Reader Kathy very thoughtfully sent me a note recently letting me know that this book is not only available used on Amazon, but is still being published and available from the National Catholic Rural Life Conference.
